Gertrude Kahan, nee Rosenbloom, 97, beloved wife of the late Harry Pomeranz and the late Ben Kahan; loving mother of Jay (Susan) Pomeranz and Enid (Steven) Kohn; cherished grandmother of Daniel (Despina) Kohn and Robert (Michele) Raphael; adored great grandmother of Haley, Jacob and Cari Raphael; treasured daughter of the late Rose and Jacob Rosenbloom; dear sister of the late Morri, Lou, Dave, Sam Rosenbloom and their families; treasured aunt and friend of many. Chapel service Friday 12:15 PM at Shalom Memorial Funeral Home, 1700 W. Rand Road, Arlington Heights. Interment Shalom Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
